Kent Sarff's Recipe List

I really like to cook, a trait probably inherited from my Dad. I remember family holidays where he'd spend all day in the kitchen creating wonderful things.

Before I started doing technology (or does it do me?), I worked in my aunt's restaurant and learned lots of things: how to cook breakfast for 200 people; how to bake bread; how to make good soups; and so on. I also learned how to glare at people, a skill which has timeless utility. The restaurant was next to a brothel, which made summertime breaks out-back always interesting. I learned plate presentation from a chef who was drifting from restaurant to restaurant, gathering credentials from different kinds of kitchens. The head baker preferred to bake in the nude. What a place!

My recipes are starting points. Follow the instructions only once and let your imagination run free from there. Imagine the tastes in your mouth and then add spices and flavors as you go. Surprise yourself. Have fun!
